It’s the part you’ve been looking forward to most dressing up like a princess! Keep an open mind and try on lots of different styles and colours. Lots of dresses have very little ‘hanger appeal’ but look fabulous on, so do take suggestions from sales consultants- they know what styles suit what shapes. It’s important to choose at this stage as to have a dress made, you need to place your order at least six months in advance.

Begin a regular skincare regime day and night now and you’ll look youthful and refreshed come the big day, do not rely completely on make-up. No amount of make-up can make tired, dull skin look glamour’s and dewy. It is essential to have tailor-made facials done every four weeks in the months leading to the wedding this will not only improve your skin texture and complexion but also helps to relax, revives and eases stress.

Keep having a regular haircuts, but don’t get your hair cut just before the wedding. It’s better to be safe than sorry, so avoid having a cut too close to your wedding. Especially avoid a radical change of style. It’s advised to have a trim every month but it will all depends on your hair and hairstyle you are going for on your Wedding Day. For example, If your hair is very long or unlayered, it can be difficult to manage and style, limiting the looks your artist can show you at your trial.

Don’t shy away from having hair extensions for your wedding day; it’s way less of a drama than it may sound. Extensions are great if you want a little more length or fullness.

You should plan hair colouring at least in 6 months advance and get your hair touched up seven to 10 days before the wedding to ensure it looks its best.

I always suggest shampooing no more than two to tree times a week as Over-shampooing lifts, dulls, and fades hair color.

Pay special attention to hair care in the weeks before your trial and wedding, so that your hair is shiny and healthy. If you’re unsure of the best products for your hair type, consult with your stylist.

 

 

 

 

A trial for your hair and make-up is vital to have is like buying your wedding outfit; it will give you an out look of how you will look or want to look on your wedding day. I always advise to achieve the best for your trial to take along with you your outfits (Bridal top and  chunni), jewellery (tiara, tikka) veil any other accessories, pictures from a magazine as a guideline of the type of hair and make-up you wish to create and a camera to take pictures once a trial is done. However  If you do not have your outfits don’t worry bring a swatch of fabric that would help to. For me having a trial without your outfits and jewellery is fine because the most important thing is the Makeup application and the entire look created is what you have dreamed for?and are you comfortable with the Artist 

Whoever you book you need to trust your hair and make-up artist. Professional make-up artists use quality products which have long lasting formulas that designed to stay up to 12 hours.

Drinking plenty of water and make sure you eat a balance diet that is high in vitamin-rich fruit and vegetables and avoid coffee and fizzy drinks. Keep to three regular meals a day. All these will help you to have a radiance skin but of course it’s important to treat your skin to a course of facials.

Aim to have a healthy (sugar-free) meal or snack every three to four hours and removing sugar will help keep skin clear, plump, and fresh-looking.

Also Sleep is important for so many reasons, as we produce the highest amounts of natural HGH (human growth hormone) while we sleep, which is responsible for regenerating and creating new cells of all our body tissues—skin, muscle, hair. When we sleep, it’s the only time our brain can repair and reorganize. And the relaxed breathing state during sleep reduces stress by calming our central nervous system.

The day before, you may well be a bundle of nerves by now, but it’s important to eat sensibly today to give you the energy you need next day. Keep your meals plain and simple, avoid spicy food, and garlic, and drink plenty of water. You need to make sure you’re in good shape tomorrow!
